Ms Herry Cho is the Head of Sustainable Finance in the Asia Pacific at an international financial institution. Her responsibilities include the origination and leading of sustainable transactions in collaboration with the relationship, product, sector and country teams.

Her team's main focuses are: 1) the origination and structuring of 'green', 'social' and 'sustainability' bonds and loans, 2) advisory on independent sustainability ratings, and 3) supporting the integration of sustainability into product, sector and country teams' activities.


Ms Cho also ideated and founded the Sustainable Finance Collective Asia (www.sfc-asia.com), bringing together Financial Institutions active in Asia to fund sustainable projects.


Prior to her current role, Ms Cho acted as a linking-pin across products providing integrated, multi-product capital structuring and advisory solutions to corporate clients. She also acted as a mergers and acquisitions adviser in both Asia and Europe, and has experience in equity capital markets, debt capital markets and corporate strategy. 


Ms Cho read Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry (MBioch) at University of Oxford. She has lived, worked and traveled in over 60 countries. In her spare time she plays music for relaxation, and delves into nature. She is a permanent resident in Singapore, and remains an avid traveler.


Herry is on the APAC regional committee of International Capital Markets Association (ICMA), is a member of the Climate Action SG Alliance, is on the Green Loans Committee for Asia Pacific Loan Markets Association (APLMA), and was a founding trustee of the Awesome Foundation Singapore, from April 2016-May 2018. 


Herry is a frequent speaker in conferences including at the Green Cities 2018, Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX)'s Sustainable Finance Conference, the 6th ASEAN-EU Business Summit, G20/Monetary Authority of Singapore's Green Finance Conference co-organised by ASIFMA/GFMA, the Responsible Business Forum for Sustainable Development in 2015, 2016, 2017, the Global Compact Network Singapore Summit 2017, Building Owners and Managers Association China conference in Beijing, and at the Taiwan-Netherlands Innovation Exhibition on Financing the Circular Economy.
