ABOUT HERRY

Ms Herry Cho is the Head of Sustainable Finance Asia Pacific at an international financial institution. A passionate and established thought and action leader in sustainable finance, having set-up the first such team in Singapore with global management responsibilities. Her responsibilities include origination and leading of sustainable transactions in collaboration with the relationship, product, sector and country teams.

 

Prior to her current role, Ms Cho acted as a linking-pin across products providing integrated, multi-product capital structuring and advisory solutions to corporate clients. She also acted as a mergers and acquisitions adviser in both Asia and Europe, and has experience in equity capital markets, debt capital markets and corporate strategy. 

 

Herry serves as an executive committee member of the ICMA Green/Social/Sustainable Bond Principles and chair of the Green Eligibility Criteria working group, sustainability lead for the APAC regional committee of ICMA, and on the committee of APLMA Green and Sustainable Loans.

Herry was awarded Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen 2019 by CSR Works.

 

Herry has a degree from University of Oxford in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry (MBioch). She has lived, worked and traveled in over 60 countries. In her spare time she plays music, does latin dancing, trains in Gracie Jiu Jitsu Women Empowered programme, delves into nature, meditates and plays with her parrots. She is a permanent resident in Singapore, and remains an avid traveler.
